About the Author
Pierrine Uwimana Rwabukamba is a Rwandan-born author, advocate, and mother whose life journey embodies resilience, faith, and a fierce love for her culture. As a survivor, a nurturer, and a visionary, she created the Uwimana book series based on her own life — reflecting the light and hope she carries, and passing it on to the next generation.
Her strength and compassion were shaped by her father, Antoine Rwabukamba — her best friend, greatest role model, and a hero. During the 1994 Rwandan Genocide, he risked his life to protect others. His courage, humility, and unconditional love left a permanent imprint on her soul. Though he is no longer here, his legacy continues to guide and inspire her every step.
She is also deeply grateful to her brother, Pascal, and his wife, Alice, whose encouragement and unwavering belief in her helped her press forward in the hardest moments.
This book is a tribute to him, and a gift to her children, Nailah and Biagio, whose love inspires her every day.
